- Zero-turn spreaders are always broadcast type.
- Do-Cut carries JRCO zero-turn spreaders. This zero-turn spreader can mount on most commercial zero-turn mowers with the proper mount bar (sold separately).
- When this zero-turn spreader is mounted on a stand-on zero-turn mower, the gate is controlled with a hand cable. When a JRCO zero-turn spreader is mounted on a sit down zero-turn mower, the gate is controlled by your foot.
- This zero-turn spreader can hold 2.2 cubic feet, or 120 pounds of product, and has a 12-volt electric motor.
- The spread pattern on this ztr spreader is 5 to 24 feet.
- The JRCO commercial spreader has a stainless-steel frame and bumper, along with a vibrating agitator. The agitator will break up clumps and ensures uniform product application from the four-bladed stainless-steel fan. The fan can be easily removed for cleaning.
- The spreader also has sealed, waterproof connectors on the wiring harness to eliminate deterioration from product.
- A zero-turn spreader can be used to apply grass seed, fertilizer, pesticides or ice melter.
- When using a zero-turn spreader, the gate or opening must be adjusted based on the size of the material/product being applied.
- Ground speed is also a factor when adjusting the application settings on this spreader. The faster the ground speed, the more product is being dispersed. Zero-turn spreaders must be calibrated properly if they are to deliver granular fertilizer and pesticides to turf at correct rates. If this is not done correctly, too much or too little product will reach the turf, resulting in “burned” turf.
- Every zero-turn spreader should be calibrated based on the product being applied. Calibration is based on the area to be treated, the measured effective swath of your spreader, the pace of application and the product being dispensed onto the turf. Many fertilizers and pesticides will have recommended settings based on brand of zero-turn spreader used.
- When using a ztr spreader to apply fertilizer or pesticides on properties with flower beds, or any type of plants, installing a side deflector shield to the spreader is a must. spreader. A side deflector shield will prohibit products from being dispersed onto the delicate plants and thus minimize potential damage to them.
- The same applies when using a zero-turn spreader to apply ice melter. Ice melter can damage turf as well as ornamental flowers and plants. Always use a side deflector shield when applying ice melter with a zero-turn spreader. Doing so will limit the application of the ice melter to only paved surfaces and avoid damaging turf and plantings.
- After using your zero-turn spreader, be sure to clean it thoroughly. Removing chemical remnants will help to reduce deterioration on the spreader surfaces.
